What types of counseling services do we provide?

We provide Christian counseling to individuals, married couples, premarital couples, families and groups with extensive, intensive and traditional counseling. Out-of-state clients frequently travel to St. Louis for intensive biblical counseling services. In addition, many individuals from out-of-state who desire Christ-centered counseling, but are unable to find it in their geographic area, utilize Live at Peace Ministries' telephone counseling.

Extensive Services

Live at Peace Ministries understands that people are complex. When an individual, couple or family seeks counseling services, it is because they need guidance and support now. We frequently offer extended sessions (2-3 hours) to facilitate deeper engagement and resolution of heart and relational issues. Without lengthy time periods between sessions, and the awkward "re-acquaintance" that often takes place between the client and counselor at the onset of each counseling session, counseling time is preserved and better utilized to identify and address struggles.

Intensive Services

Sometimes life is more painful and difficult than we ever imagined it would be. When particularly difficult circumstances have occurred, Live at Peace Ministries offers intensive services designed to help individuals, couples or families tackle and overcome intense crises or overwhelming challenges. Intensive services are generally 4-6 hours per day, 3-5 days per week.

Traditional Services

We celebrate our client's healing and growth. When non-critical issues need to be addressed, or intense crises and personal struggles have resolved to a significant degree, the periodic "check up" is all that is needed. A one-hour session helps clients receive the encouragement they need to continue their journey of transformation.

Telephone Services

While face-to-face meetings provide the best possible scenario for counseling, sometimes it is impossible for clients and counselors to have that personal contact. Missionaries on the field, individuals struggling with health issues that keep them confined, or people living in areas where biblical counseling services are not available find Live at Peace Ministries' telephone counseling a helpful, effective option. The process is much the same as for our other services.
